# Lane Edge

> Lane Edge is a Chrome extension for freight dispatchers using the DAT One load board (one.dat.com). It adds instant RPM (rate-per-mile) and deadhead calculations, color-coded rates, smart load filters, one-click broker emails via Gmail, one-click Google Maps routes, and a productivity stats dashboard — all injected directly into the DAT One interface.

## What Lane Edge does

- RPM + Deadhead Calculator: every load row shows rate per mile including deadhead miles, calculated automatically.
- Color-coded RPM: rates are highlighted green (good), yellow (mid), or pink (low) based on user-defined thresholds.
- Load Filters Bar: filter loads by minimum RPM, minimum rate, maximum deadhead, min/max miles, excluded states, and hide duplicate loads. Shows "X of Y loads match your filters."
- One-click Email: sends a pre-filled load inquiry email to the broker through the user's own Gmail account. Templates support variables like origin, destination, rate, and reference number.
- One-click Maps: opens the full lane route in Google Maps from any load.
- Stats Dashboard: tracks emails sent, MC numbers copied, and time saved per day, week, and month.
- Keyboard shortcuts: arrow keys to move between loads/tabs, G to open Maps, M to email the broker, R to refresh.
